In late 2002, Streuli photographed and filmed on the island of Martinique using a digital, an analog and a video camera. Twenty years later, this stay results in three different projects presented under the title Martinique 2002.

The 264-page book Martinique 2002, with over a hundred images from one of Streuli’s first digital series, and an extensive essay by Hilde Van Gelder titled Organic Countries of the World, Make the Mangles Spread!

The 30-minute video La Salubre 2002, with a focus on the nature of the island: The wind, birds and the rain become the soundtrack to images of the island’s fauna.

The edition Fort-de-France 2002, consisting of three analog photographs of passersby in Martinique’s capital in 2002 and digitally printed this year in A2 format.
